Here at the Tribe- the world melts away while our instructor leads our little yogis on an adventure into mindfulness and centredness in a warm nurturing and encouraging environment.
Our class starts with a breathing and mindfulness practice before leaning into gentle beginner yoga poses and ends with a guided mediation.
Tweens learn self regulation strategies and how to “check in” with themselves when they are feeling big emotions.
But not all of us are cut from the same cloth.
There are literally thousands of case studies of young people crushing it in business from a young age (Just like our Kidpreneurs Ambassador Glitter Girl) but how did they do it?
Kidpreneurs is a course dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of Entrepreurship in a dynamic environment that sees our young students conceptualise, research and launch a business across a semester.
There will be inspirational talks and Q and A’s with successful Kidpreneurs along the way and lots of hands on practical advice from our Kidpreneur tutors.
Our entrepreneurs will learn the importance of resilience, “Flearning” (Lessons from any set backs that help propel us forward and skills that will last a lifetime that can be applied to their own business in the future- should they choose to run their own company as their “main gig” or have a successful “side hustle” as they pursue university or 9-5 (It sure beats working at Mc Donalds right?!)
The 15 week course ends with a “Shark Tank” style presentation of each of our Entrepreneurs business ideas for our parents and friends.
We are ONLY accepting 20 Kidpreneurs per semester intake. Enrol online to secure your spot for Terms 3-4 2024!
Mind ninja is an immersive weekly class aimed at giving children the tools to foster self love, confidence and help manage feelings of anxiety and overwhelm in a nurturing environment.
Some of the life skills we cover are nervous system regulation, reframing negative thought patterns, strategies and tools for tricky social situations and flexible thinking.
This class is all about building confidence resilience and self soothing strategies while getting out children to connect with the magic that makes them uniquely themselves.
Using a wide range of modalities from somatic exercises, to meditation and mindfulness, craft and art therapies as well as journaling and connecting with other children in class the skill sets developed will last a lifetime… as will the friendships of like minded friends.
Students are given their very own Mind Ninja workbook to document their learnings and make notes of strategies that work for them when life gets a little much.
As an added bonus we also include a q and a session per term with parents with our wonderful parenting expert to address any challenges parents may have as well!
Mind Ninjas is all about building confidence, connection and resilience to navigate the sometimes choppy waters of life.
We have taken Taylors music and her philosophies to create a 10 week empowerment programme for girls and boys to learn life lessons according to the gospel that is Swift!
We discuss what makes a great friend and explore the qualities that go into making any connection meaningful and long lasting. The class task this week is friendship bracelets to share amongst their fellow swifties as well as filming a video introduction that we will make into a montage that will be posted to the Swiftie class app so that all classmates can learn a little about their classmates before the next time we meet!
We take our Swifties “out of their comfort zone” with a rigorous cheer routine (with pom poms of course) to Shake It Off.
This week we get super clear on our non negotiables on how we want to be treated- how we treat ourselves and how we would like others to treat us with our Boundary Bibles
This week we explore beginner yoga and mediation that can be easily repeated at home and engage in some mindful mandala colouring pages.
This week we learn about the power in setting a Big Hairy Audacious Goal for yourself and learn how to break down a big idea into actionable steps.
We learn about planning and project management skills which can be used to reach a personal goal or even how to plan out a big assignment at school and not leave it to the night before.
Each swiftie gets a project goal template they can apply to numerous situations in their lives.
Our very own jewel Annie will give tips on skin care and why Tik Tok makeup is NOT it and how to glow from the inside out.
We look at the lives of children from around the world yesterday and today and compare that to our daily lives.
We talk about giving back, paying forward and how we can sit in gratitude for even the things that seem to go wrong. The lessons are there if we look hard enough.
Our activity this week is a champagne glass of gratitude to keep
This is followed by a photo shoot with each of Taylors Eras as the backdrop where we encourage you to be authentically and beautifully you.
All class participants are presented with a Swiftie School certificate and discount offers to Tribe classes in the future.
NB: Numbers are strictly capped for Term 3 so reserve your spot early to avoid disappointment.
