Believe it or not - it's time to start planning for winter and our 3rd Annual Performance of The Nutcracker! Our Nutcracker webpage is now LIVE! You will find everything you need to prepare you and your dancer for a successful Nutcracker season. Check out thepointeschool.com/nutcracker regularly for updates.

Here are new updates to the website this week:

Class Ensemble Performance Registration is OPEN: Class ensembles will perform large group pieces in The Nutcracker, available for all dancers registered for a ballet class Level 1 and up. Class roles will be determined after sign-ups are complete. Dancers will learn choreography in their ballet classes, wear costumes rented from the studio, and participate in one dress rehearsal and two performances. Class performance is a package - and an amazing opportunity! Dancers must be signed up for this performance - it is not an automatic registration. See our webpage, thepointeschool.com/nutcracker to find the registration form and all commitment details. Registration is open NOW, and closes on Friday, September 19th.

Performance Handbook: This handbook contains all the information you need to know for our Nutcracker Performance! It will be continuously updated with additional information as we plan and lead up to the performance. Please bookmark the webpage to keep this information handy, and we will continue to update you in these Friday FYI emails when new updates are available. You can find it on the Nutcracker webpage now!

Wiggle Wednesday is a free monthly story time and dance demo at The Pointe School of Dance! Children aged 1-5 are welcome to visit the studio for a short story, dance activities, and movement games. Wiggle Wednesdays are active, creative FUN for your little one! Parents are invited to come into the studio room to participate with their child, or wait in our comfortable lobby. Spaces are limited and registration is required - sign up today at thepointeschool.com/wiggle

Our first event of the year is next Wednesday, September 10th from 11:15-11:45 AM!

Discover Dance Days at The Pointe is the PERFECT opportunity to give dance a try - or discover a new style of dance! From September 15-20, enjoy free trial classes at the studio, unique incentives for registrations and student referrals, and for current students at The Pointe to add an additional dance class.

This week only, there will be great bonuses available for registering! All new dancers - or new classes added for current PSD Dancers - will receive a $20 boutique gift card, save 20% on their Recital costume, and pay no tuition on the new class(es) until October! We're also doubling our typical referral bonus this week - for every new dancer referred to The Pointe, both the new family and current family will receive a $40 boutique gift card and are entered to win a FREE recital costume! There are no limits to the bonuses you can receive - the only limit is our class size, and these incentives are open through Friday, September 27!

We have made a Spring 2026 Calendar Update! This change has been adjusted on the main calendar on our Policies page, but we wanted to bring special attention to it so you could update your calendars at home.

Recital Picture & In-Studio Rehearsal Week has been moved to May 3-7, 2026

Recital 2025 DVDs and Digital Download orders are here! Please pick up your DVDs at the front desk, and digital downloads will be emailed to you directly.

NEW! We are now offering monthly Mini Acro Private Lessons with Miss Laura throughout the fall semester! These are great for students looking for individual feedback for a specific skill or working towards a specific goal. These lessons are only offered on the specific dates below - giving the benefits of a private lesson at a great value.

These lesson dates are:

Saturday, September 6th - 9:00 AM-12:00 PM (FULL)

Saturday, October 4th - 9:00 AM-12:00 PM (3 spots left!)

Saturday, November 1st - 9:00 AM-12:00 PM

Saturday, December 6th - 9:00 AM-12:00 PM

• These will be 20 minute private lessons offered once a month and will focus in on 1-2 specific skills of your choice. **With teacher discretion - for example, we will not have your dancer work on aerials if they cannot do a cartwheel.

• All lessons are $25 + tax, due with this form at sign up.

• All time slots are first come, first serve.

• If you cannot make these dates or want more frequent lessons - please reach out to request a standard private lesson.

• Please fill out one form for each lesson if you are signing up for multiple dates.

If these lessons are successful, we will look into adding spring dates and options for multiple mediums (ex. hip hop skills, turns and leaps, etc.) in the future.

Did you know that we offer free trial classes for new-to-The-Pointe families - and we have a sweet deal for you if you refer a friend to our program? Families can schedule a trial class easily - just have them send us an email and we'll take care of it!

When a family you've referred signs up, please have them list your name in the "Where did you hear about us?" form in online registration. We will send them a $20 gift card to our boutique to help them get the gear their dancer needs for class - and as a thank you, we'll send one to you, too! Trial classes are easy to schedule online, and are FREE for a limited time!
