MUSICAL THEATER INSTRUCTOR
Miss Amanda programs and teaches all of our Musical Theatre classes here at Adagio. She holds a Bachelor of Music and Theatre from CMU as well as a current Colorado teaching license for K-12 Music. Miss Amanda comes from a background of teaching in all kinds of environments, including several years teaching with School District 51!
When she isn’t teaching, Miss Amanda can usually be found wrangling her own young children, reading, writing, or playing outdoors.
Miss Amanda’s favorite studio value is Belong! There is a safe space for everyone in theatre, and watching people discover their full potential in a community of supportive individuals is her favorite thing about the performing arts!
DANCE EDUCATOR
Miss Payton took her first dance class at the age of three and has been dancing ever since! She is trained in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and pointe. She competed for five years of her dance career, traveling to different cities to perform. She had many performance opportunities including dancing at a Cleveland Cavaliers game and in the Nutcracker All Jazzed Up.
Her favorite studio value is Belong! "I had the wonderful opportunity to grow up surrounded by amazing dance team members and teachers who became like a second family to me! The dance studio always felt like a home away from home where I felt like I belonged. Having a safe space where you can feel a sense of community is a vital part of growing up and I am honored to be a part of a place that cultivates a healthy environment for growing dancers."
In her free time she enjoys knitting and crocheting and when the weather is nice she likes to hike and paddle board! When she has a long weekend she likes to travel to see her family out of state. One fun fact about Payton is that she has climbed two 14ers.
Preschool Dance Educator and Leaps of Love Coordinator
Ms. Star teaches ballet, Jazz, hip hop, tap, gymnastics and the only teacher at Adagio that teaches poms. She is YPAD certified, has a clean background check, and is CPR certified.
When she is not dancing, she is a full time kindergarten teachers assistant. If you can't find her in the classroom or the studio you'll find her lost in the mountains. Did you know she can spin and eat fire?!
Her favorite value is Belong, "every child, teacher, and grownup that enter our door has a safe place where they belong. Once a child feels they belong they can start to believe in their self which in turn helps them become their best self"
Front Desk
Miss Alex' primary focus is making sure everyone in and out of our studio feels our studio values.
Alex graduated from CMU with a degree in Kinesiology K-12 Teaching and holds current CPR and First Aid certifications and a clean background check.
When Alex isn't working, you can find her in her garden, outside, hiking, mountain biking and snowboarding or hanging out with her chickens.
Alex's favorite studio value is Become. "I love learning and through that shape who we become. We should always be changeling ourselves to reach our goals, big or small."

“My family loves Adagio! The family atmosphere is wonderful. Jessica is the most accommodating owner/instructor. Our daughter looks forward to every Saturday morning to go to ballet with her. Adagio has found the creativity with their teaching techniques. It took us a couple tries in this town to find a dance studio that actually cares about the fundamentals of dance before vanity. They make dance beautiful again!”
Kristen, Mom of Lillianna
“My daughter Arianna loves going to dance at Adagio. We started in the mommy and me class and now she is in the bugs preschool class. She loves all the songs they sing for each stretch and move. She sings them at home and loves learning the names of the dance moves and is excited to show people what she has learned. She can’t wait to be in another dance show.”
