Remember! Recitals are supposed to be fun for all involved and a wonderful showcase for your favorite dancer to show off the skills they have learned all season. The workers are volunteers who donate their time to make sure our dancers have the best day ever!  *We have very limited access to email and the studio phone during Recital Week*

Recital Tip #1

  • Be on Time! This is for rehearsal and show day. Being late for rehearsal may cost your dancer the opportunity to practice their dance on stage before the show. Our shows usually sell out and are standing room only. Arrive on time (or even a bit early) to get a great seat. Also, walking into the theater after the show has started is distracting to the audience that is enjoying watching their dancer shine on stage!

Recital Tip #2

  • Expect to purchase a ticket. Virtually all studios sell tickets to cover the cost of the venue and all of the other wonderful things that come with producing a full scale, top notch production. Order your tickets early!! Our shows often sell out.

Recital Tip #3

  • Come Prepared: Bring tissues (for your joyous tears as you watch your dancer shine on stage),make sure your dancer's hair and make up are already done, and they are dressed in their costume. Have your ticket ready, bring extra make up for any touch ups, and have your camera ready to take pictures before and after the show! There is no need to worry about recording the show, you will receive a professionally filmed digital download of the entire show within 4-6 weeks.

Recital Tip #4

  •  Hair and Make Up. Unless your dancer is on the Performance or Competitive Team they may wear their hair however you would like. Just make sure it’s out of their face so it’s not distracting on stage. Also, your dancer may wear as much or as little make up as you like. We do recommend at least lipstick to ensure we can see all of your dancer's facial features under the stage lights.

Recital Tip #5

  • Plan for a gift. It is tradition to give a dancer flowers after a Recital.

Recital Tip #6

  • Relax!!! Your dancer has worked all year for this and the staff at NAPAC has worked long hours to make sure everything runs smoothly. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
