All of our instructors have trained in our Dance For Inclusion ™️ program and have their WWCC, Police Check and Snr First Aid.

Our carefully chosen team of instructors are a variety of experienced school teachers, dance and vocal tutors, speech pathologists, child care teachers, occupational therapists and musical theatre professionals.

MISS MIRANDA

Founder Director

Miranda Daisy is the Founder and Director of Perform Ability and has over 17 years’ experience working alongside children, teens, and adults with disabilities and neurodiversities in inclusive performing arts settings.

Miranda is known for her calm, intuitive teaching style and her ability to adapt classes to meet the individual needs of each student. Her work is therapy-informed and aligned with NDIS capacity-building goals, using dance, drama, and music to support communication, emotional regulation, confidence, social connection, and participation.

Miranda holds a Diploma of Musical Theatre and has completed extensive training in disability awareness, inclusive dance education, and therapy-based movement practices. She is a recognised leader in inclusive arts education, having developed specialist programs, delivered teacher training, and contributed to industry and education initiatives focused on accessibility and inclusion.

Miranda is deeply passionate about providing meaningful performance opportunities for her students. She believes performing on stage - in supportive, well-prepared environments - can be a powerful tool for building confidence, independence, and pride, and works to ensure every performer is prepared, supported, and celebrated.

Miranda believes the performing arts should be a place of joy, belonging, and self-expression. Her goal is for every student to feel safe to try, proud of their progress, and valued for exactly who they are.

MISS CHRISTINE

Events Coordinator, Head of AIT Program & Dance Instructor

Christine Jane is a key team member at Perform Ability, where she wears multiple hats as the Head of the Assistant Instructor Training Program, Events Coordinator, and Instructor. She's passionate about the arts and helping everyone reach their full potential.

Christine's artistic journey started early, learning piano and dance, and later earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2014. She has a special interest in using art to help people with diverse needs, studying "Arts and Dementia Care" at the University of Tasmania. Christine is also well-educated, with a Diploma in Community Services, a BA in Fine Art, and an Associate Degree in The Arts in Dementia Care.

Her commitment to learning never stops, as she holds certifications in areas like Demand Avoidance (Autism, PDA, and ADHD) and Rainbow Kids Yoga for Children with Additional Needs Training.

Christine Jane's role at Perform Ability is all about inspiring, educating, and making positive changes in her community. She's dedicated to the arts, empathetic toward diverse needs, and passionate about helping others express themselves creatively.

DALE

Admin & Creative Arts Teacher

In his current role at Perform Ability, Dale serves as both a creative arts teacher and an administrative assistant, bringing over a decade of experience and versatility to the team. His extensive journey, ranging from an ATSO at the Department of Education to providing one-on-one support, has solidified his standing as one of the most sought-after support workers on the Central Coast.

Dale's comprehensive expertise is fortified by thorough training in behaviour, safety, inclusion, and medication courses, including the completion of the innovative son rise program. His commitment to disability support has remained unwavering, even after exploring culinary studies, academics, and a stint in the Australian music industry, managing well-known bands.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dale is a recognised artist, celebrated for live mural painting at major music festivals in New South Wales. This fusion of creativity, music, and psychology shapes Dale's unique approach to building trust with clients. At Perform Ability, Dale continues to stand out as a distinctive and well-rounded force in the world of disability support.

MARY

Business & Program Consultant

Mary Mamootil is a dedicated Business Consultant with Perform Ability, bringing over 7 years of experience to the team. Contrary to being a dancer or performer herself, Mary has played a pivotal role in shaping the program alongside Miranda. Her journey with Perform Ability was inspired by her son, Sebastian, who is both a dancer and a performer.Beyond her professional role, Mary is driven by a passion for creating inclusive opportunities for individuals of all abilities to achieve their aspirations. Her love for the job stems from the joy of witnessing Sebastian pursue his passion and the fulfillment of creating similar opportunities for others. Mary finds particular joy in seeing Miranda's vision come to life—a space where everyone is included and has the chance to express themselves.

As a fun fact, Mary embraces her overachiever status, always striving to go above and beyond in her endeavours.

MISS DANNI

Speech Therapist, Drama & Dance Instructor

Danni is a passionate advocate for the transformative power of the performing arts, believing they are a fantastic tool for building confidence, language skills, attention, and social abilities in both children and adults. With over a decade of experience, she brings a joyful and engaging approach to her dance and drama classes.

In her role as Central Coast Coordinator and Lead Instructor at Helen O'Grady Drama, Danni conducted inclusive classes for people of all abilities. Her welcoming demeanor and childlike wonder create a lively atmosphere, making each class enjoyable for everyone. Danni's expertise extends to her role as a practicing speech pathologist for four years, running her own practice, Creative Speech Therapy, from the Perform Ability studio.

Specialising in working with autism and ADHD, Danni seamlessly integrates her knowledge of communication, behaviour, language, and sensory difficulties into her teaching, ensuring a holistic and inclusive learning experience for all.

MISS MELAYNE

Music, Drama & Dance Instructor

Melayne has a diploma in early childhood with 30 years experience, and has worked extensively with children with additional needs. She now runs a successful music studio and teaches singing and a variety of instruments. She is also a certified Life Coach and Sound Therapist. Musical Theatre has been a big part of her life and she has spent many years performing on stage and working back stage for Gosford Musical Society. Melayne loves to perform and is currently singing in a duo called In the Groove.

Health and wellness is also a big part of Melayne’s life and she enjoys regular practice in meditation, Qi Gong, sound healing and immersing herself in nature. The beach is her happy place!

Melayne has found working at Perform Ability to be extremely rewarding. She is very passionate about creative self expression and has thoroughly enjoyed working with the students and encouraging them to be free to express themselves musically and dramatically. She is a strong advocate for inclusivity and believes that musical expression can foster resilience and a sense of agency and help students to navigate the world in a more confident, self discerning way.

MISS SHEREE

Dance Instructor

Meet Miss Sheree, a dance enthusiast who kicked off her journey at the age of 6, grooving to jazz and tap. She later sprinkled in lyrical, hip hop, and cheerleading, crafting a dance repertoire that's as diverse as her passion. Spending 14 years at "Prestige Academy of Dance," she not only danced but also discovered her love for teaching at the tender age of 18.

In 2019, Miss Sheree's dream leapt to reality as she founded her own dance haven, "Feel The Beat." Beyond the studio, she's been a dynamic member of "The Little Scallywagz," captivating audiences across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, and NSW for 8 years.

The dance world is her stage, and Miss Sheree's biggest thrill awaits in 2024 – competing at the Dance Worlds in Orlando, Florida, with her hip hop team. As she enters her 11th year with Perform Ability, Miss Sheree is so excited for the adventures that lie ahead.

MISS ASHLEIGH

Dance Instructor, AIT Trainer, Instructor Course Advisor

Miss Ash, based in the picturesque regional Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia, boasts a rich background in dance education spanning over 25 years across various countries. As a Royal Academy of Dance classical ballet teacher and Learning Enhancement Teacher Assistant, she has shared her expertise in dance with students of all abilities, cultures, and ages.

In her role with Perform Ability, Miss Ash leads Assistant Instructor Training (AIT) classes and conducts online solo classes, working with amazing and talented students. Beyond her passion for dance, Miss Ash's world revolves around her family. She enjoys growing plants, devotes free time to family, and actively participates in her kids' sports activities.Teaching brings Miss Ash unlimited joy, witnessing the transformative power of dance in her students. The fun fact she shares adds a lively touch—each foot has 26 bones, 30 joints, and over 100 muscles, ligaments, and tendons.

Miss Ash's extensive qualifications include being a Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet Teacher, Advanced Pilates Instructor, Silver Swans Licensee, Perform Ability Licensee, PBT Licensee, and holding a Diploma in Leadership and Management, among other achievements.

STEVE

Singing Teacher & Head Of Songwriting Program

Meet Steve, a seasoned performer and singer/songwriter based in Melbourne, Australia. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts & Media degree, he's collaborated on tracks with diverse individuals, performed at renowned local venues, and opened for notable bands like The Whitlams.Beyond the stage, Steve ventured into international waters, working on a London radio station before running a successful children's music enterprise for a decade.

Now, as one of Perform Ability's online vocal instructors, he brings 25+ years of teaching expertise and a deep understanding of the transformative power of music.Steve, a disability support worker, is passionate about empowering individuals through song. He believes that songwriting goes beyond melodies and rhythms, offering a unique avenue for self-expression and communication.

JAIDA

Dance Instructor

Jaida began her dance training at age four, developing a strong foundation across jazz, hip hop, tap, contemporary, lyrical and ballet. She completed Modern, Tap and RAD Ballet examinations, with tap becoming her strongest area of practice.

Jaida has been teaching since the age of 15, working with dancers of all ages and abilities, from preschool to adults. Her teaching is informed by over 10 years’ experience in early childhood education, where she developed a strong understanding of developmental milestones, communication, and behaviour support.

Jaida holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and is currently in her fourth year of Speech Pathology studies. This training underpins her inclusive, therapy-informed approach, supporting communication development, social skills, and participation for dancers with disabilities and diverse learning needs.

COURTNEY

Vocal, Piano, Guitar and Dance Instructor

Courtney Keil is an award-winning vocalist and experienced performer who brings real-world industry insight into her teaching. She is a three-time Best Female Vocal winner at the Australian Country Music People’s Choice Awards and has performed on major stages across Australia, supporting iconic artists and appearing in nationally televised performances.

Courtney’s professional career informs her teaching approach, with a strong focus on vocal technique, storytelling, confidence, and authentic performance. Her debut album reached #1 on the iTunes Country Australia chart, with multiple chart-topping releases, giving her firsthand experience in both live performance and studio work.

As a teacher, Courtney is passionate about supporting singers of all abilities to develop strong, healthy voices while building confidence, stage presence, and a genuine connection to their audience. She is committed to creating a supportive, encouraging learning environment where every voice is valued.

JADE

Dance Instructor

Jade is an experienced dance teacher with a strong background in disability support, behaviour intervention, and mental health. She brings a unique blend of creative arts and clinical understanding to her teaching, supporting students with diverse needs to feel safe, confident, and engaged.

Jade has formal dance training in ballet, jazz, contemporary and more, which underpins her practical, movement-based teaching style. She holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science and Honours and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Newcastle. She is also a registered Behaviour Support Practitioner.

Her professional experience spans therapeutic specialist roles, school wellbeing teams, behaviour support services, and learning support in primary school settings. Jade’s teaching is informed by trauma-informed practice, developmental theory, and evidence-based behaviour strategies, allowing her to adapt classes to support communication, regulation, participation, and emotional wellbeing.

Jade is passionate about creating inclusive, supportive learning environments where every student can access the arts in a way that works for them.

JESS

Dance Instructor

Jess has been dancing since 1993 and brings strong technical training across tap, ballet and performance. After many years working in the disability sector, she discovered a passion for combining dance with inclusive education and now specialises in teaching dancers of all abilities.

Jess creates calm, supportive and adaptable classes where students feel safe, confident and celebrated. With extensive experience supporting people with disabilities and neurodiversities, she is committed to making dance accessible, joyful and empowering for every dancer.
