Class Uniform

At Roc Dance, we believe a consistent class uniform helps dancers feel confident, prepared, and part of our dance family. Proper attire also allows instructors to give the best feedback on technique and alignment.

Our studio calendar helps families stay on top of holidays, closures, and special events throughout the year.

We Follow the Webster School District for most holidays and breaks.

Closures & Events: Any changes or special events—like Parent Watch Week, performances, or weather closures—will always be shared in advance via email, our social media, and posted in the studio.

Basic PLAN

per dancer

Annual Recital

$250

Per dancer

  • Due March 1st

  • Includes 1 costume, tights & accessory

  • additional costume $85

Tuition & Payments

Tuition is charged monthly & based on how many hours your child dances each week. Payments are due on the 1st of the month and can be made online through Jackrabbit or in person by cash or check. Payments after the 10th will include a 10% late fee.

We charge a 1 time Annual membership fee of $50 upon registration which helps cover front desk support, our online portal, and admin services. We also offer a premium level membership that has additional perks for our elevated members. You can find out more about our membership options here!

To make life easier, we offer automatic rollover registration for all families. This reserves your child’s spot for the next season without needing to re-register each year. Forms and reminders will be sent in early spring so you can make changes if needed.

Education

Krista began her training at Little Red Dance Studio here in Rochester, NY. Later she graduated Cum Laude from SUNY Purchase College with her Bachelors in the Fine Arts in Dance in 2012. She has also studied with River North Dance Chicago and The Conservatorio Superior de Danza de Madrid in Madrid, Spain.

Experience

Krista has performed with Princess Cruise Lines, in The 25th Anniversary of American Classical Orchestra, and the International Choreography Competition in Burgos, Spain. Locally Krista has been a part of Lehrer Dance and the New York State Ballet. Krista has also been cast in freelance works by Lar Lubovitch, Merce Cunningham, Nelly von Bommel, Jason Parsons, and Michael Brown. Her choreography has been selected to be shown at demonstrations in and around Manhattan, and has been recognized and awarded by national competitions throughout America.

“I love helping students reach their full potential, and getting to see the joy it brings them when they succeed. I feel very honored to be a part of these dancer’s journey as they grow through Roc Dance and beyond. As a teacher, it has been unbelievably rewarding to guide our students in and out of the classroom, as well as build life long mentorship with our students.”

Education

Chris received his training from the Timothy M. Draper Center for Dance Education, on scholarship with the Joffrey Ballet School, Hubbard Street Dance summer intensive, and Point Park University. He has performed with Gelsey Kirkland Academy and the JoffreyBallet School, and with Ballet for Young Audiences in New York City.

Experience

Chris has performed various lead roles in several companies across the states including Carolina Ballet Theatre, Springfield ballet, Western Ballet, and Ballet Theater Company. Chris has had the pleasure of guest teaching at Fort Hills Dance Conservatory in South Carolina and Terpsichore Dance in North Carolina as well as Nazareth College, U of R, and RIT.

Ms Katie

Education

Katie trained at Betty Jo’s Dance Center for 15 years. She is pursuing her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemistry at RIT/NTID, in addition to a minor in dance.

Experience

Since coming to Rochester, she has danced for NTID Performing Arts in “25 Years of Dance” and “Singring and the Glass Guitar”. After graduation, Katie hopes to pursue a career as an educator and research scientist. Outside of the studio and the lab, she loves to play the violin, crochet, and do taekwondo.
