Founded by Teagan Huntsdale, The Dance Affinity offers high-quality dance and performing arts classes to Wollongong and the Illawarra. We provide a wide range of styles for all ages and abilities, from preschool to open adult classes.
Our highly experienced teachers support aspiring professionals, recreational dancers, and performers alike, delivering inspiring and engaging classes that build strong technique, confidence, and a lifelong affinity for dance.

Our teachers nurture positive relationships through having a caring approach to each individual's learning and wellbeing. Our goal is to inspire you to ignite your passion for dance and learning, by providing an experience that will benefit you beyond dancing.
While enhancing the student's dance ability and physical health, The Dance Affinity aims to holistically improve our student's emotional, social and physical wellbeing. Through positive reinforcement, we generate self empowerment in each student who walks through our doors.

Teagan established The Dance Affinity in 2017 after years of teaching at various dance schools and high schools across the Illawarra. Her love of both dance and business lead to the immersion of The Dance Affinity.
Teagan attended Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts as a dance student gaining 96 in the HSC dance subject. She studied full-time dance at Brent Street Studios before studying business at the University of Wollongong.
Still a performer herself, Teagan volunteers as choreographer for local musical theatre company So Popera Productions, where she also performs in their shows. After noticing a gap in the market for high-calibre performance opportunities for school aged students, she started The Protegé Project in 2024 to provide a program to bridge the gap between community and professional theatre shows.

● 2 beautiful dance rooms fitted with tarkett flooring, mirrors, air-conditioning and fans
● Large car park right out the back with ample parking for easy and safe drop off and pick up
● Comfortable waiting room with padded seating, bag storage areas and uniform display wall
● 2 bathrooms fitted with single use hand towels, sanitiser and sanitary bins
● Reception for all enquiries and payments of cash and eftpos

By being a part of our Affinity Community our students and parents/carers along with their families are at the heart of our business. Our nurturing approach strives to provide support beyond dance training in the classroom. With our teachers being exceptional role models we are here for our students as that extra responsible support that both parents and dancers can rely on.

Founded by Teagan Huntsdale, The Dance Affinity offers dance classes and performing arts classes to Wollongong and the Illawarra. Our dance classes offer a range of styles for varying abilities and ages, from our preschool to open adult classes. With highly experienced staff in both dance and teaching, we provide training for the aspiring professional dancer, the recreational dancer, or the dancing singer and actor. Each dance experience will enhance your knowledge and abilities whilst igniting your affinity for dance.
