Acro Dance combines dance technique with acrobatic moves. This is a high energy class for children ages 4 years and older, where they will learn the beginning basics of tumbling and acrobatics. In a level 1 class dancers will learn moves such as pre splits, bridges, cartwheels, and log rolls. Dancers will also focus on strength building and flexibility to benefit their tumbling and prepare them for the next level. Skills will progress based on each dancers experience and ability. Ms. Lisa’s Dance uses the “Acrobatic Arts” program in their Acro Dance classes and many of our teachers are acrobatic certified. Acro classes do not participate in Ms. Lisa’s annual Spring recital. Instead parents are invited into the studio twice a year to see what the dancers have been learning. Join us for a challenging and fun journey where you’ll

Dancers are required to take a placement class before enrolling in a level 4 Acro class. Acro classes do not participate in Ms. Lisa’s annual Spring recital. Introduce your child to the enchanting world of ballet with our Ballet 1 class for ages 5 to 9! This class focuses on fundamental ballet techniques, posture, and coordination which includes barre work, floor work, and across the floor exercises. Young dancers will develop grace, flexibility, and discipline through structured lessons. All of our ballet classes will be invited to participate in our Holiday Nutcracker show in December. The class is perfect for children who have been dancing for a few years or for those who have a newly developed interest in ballet.

Each class will begin with a barre to fine tune body placement and alignment. The techniques of ballet are furthered through center combinations and across the floor exercises. The class is for dancers who have taken 2-4 years of Ballet I and know the foundations of Ballet technique. New students must take a placement class before enrolling in this class. The Ballet & Tap class combines 2 styles of dance in one class! Dancers will start the class working on patterns, counting, and rhythm in tap shoes. Half way through the class dancers will change into their ballet shoes and spend time at the Ballet barre, learning proper body alignment, arm & foot placement, and ballet technique. Dancers will further their ballet technique with center work and across the floor combinations. This is a great class for new or experienced dancers!

The class introduces intricate foot work, as well as arm motions. The students are encouraged to develop their own style of movement with freestyle dancing. Prior Hip Hop experience is required for this class.
