JOIN THE TSF FAMILY

Founded in 1998 as Dance Plus and reimagined as The Star Factory in 2009, you’re joining a studio that has grown alongside the Joondalup community. With a purpose-built facility, a passionate team, and over 900sqm of dance space, your child will learn and train in an environment designed for every stage of their journey.

From their very first class to advanced training, your child will feel supported, confident, and right at home.

OUR ACCOLADES

At The Star Factory, excellence is more than a goal, it’s our tradition. Every year, our exam students achieve outstanding results with a 100% pass rate and the majority receiving Honours, Honours Plus, Distinction, or High Distinction across both Comdance and RAD syllabi. We are proud to have a Comdance examiner on staff and our ballet students consistently excel with a 100% RAD pass rate and award recipients at the prestigious Diana de Vos RAD Awards. Our dancers have also earned high-level State Awards, including the Gwen Mackay Gold Cross Award, Overall State Theatrical Performing Arts Award, and the Blue Sash Award, prestigious honours that celebrate exceptional technical and performance excellence.

In competitions, TSF dancers have secured numerous wins and championship titles across multiple age groups, including being crowned Junior National Champions in January 2025. Our performers have graced national stages with Emma Memma, West Australian Ballet, Ready Set Dance National Kid Crew, WAAPA, and Testing Ground. Many alumni have gone on to train and perform with elite programs such as WAAPA, Brent Street, Dance Force (scholarships awarded), NIDA, Joffrey Ballet School NY, Eve and Bow, and international cruise lines.

Our dancers are also proud ambassadors for the arts in the wider community, regularly performing at corporate and community events across Perth. Highlights include the Lakeside Joondalup Christmas and Easter Parades, WASO events, and high-profile functions for LEGO, Coca-Cola, Rio Tinto, Crown Perth, Telethon, and the City of Joondalup alongside hundreds of other local and large-scale performances. These appearances reflect not only our dancers' versatility and professionalism, but also our deep commitment to giving back and sharing the joy of dance with the wider community.
